What is Trunk or Treat?
Trunk or Treat is a fun, safe alternative to traditional trick-or-treating! Participants decorate the trunks of their vehicles with creative Halloween themes, then open them up so kids in costumes can go trunk-to-trunk collecting candy and enjoying the spooky fun.
How It Works
- Register your vehicle using the form below — it's free!
- Arrive early to set up and decorate your trunk with your chosen theme
- Bring plenty of candy to hand out to trick-or-treaters
- Kids in costume go from trunk to trunk collecting treats
- Compete for the "Best Decorated Trunk" prize!
Event Details
- Date: Thursday, October 29, 2026
- Setup Time: 3:30 PM – 4:45 PM
- Festival Hours: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Location: 609 Harris Ave, Kemah, TX 77565 (Historic Lighthouse District)
- Cost: FREE to participate!
Guidelines
- All decorations must be family-friendly (no excessive gore or scary content for little ones)
- Candy must be individually wrapped and store-bought
- Vehicles must be parked and turned off during the event
- Costumes encouraged for trunk hosts too!
- Leave your space clean when you pack up
